RK-LD

Description

The wire is fed from a spool or drum via an adjustable brake. From there it runs over a support plate and is then deflected twice so that it runs over this plate again parallel to the first pass. It is then wound onto a driven winding pallet. A weight plate ground to a defined roughness depth is placed on these two wires running parallel on the support plate. This weight plate is connected to a precision force transducer. When the wire moves under the weight plate, a force dependent on the friction of the wire is transferred to the weight plate, which is measured by the transducer. This force is a measure of the coefficient of friction µ.

Evaluation via PC

The RK-LD-WIN is a measuring program for determining the coefficient of friction µd.
It provides a graphical representation of the measurement process, a measurement log and much more.
The software package also includes a USB interface.
